Neil Rockind

As a leading criminal defense attorney, Rockind represents clients in matters ranging from drunk driving to complex federal cases. Some cases are relatively quiet, while others, such as the infamous “Basketbrawl” (Piston v Pacer) assault case at the Palace of Auburn Hills where Rockind obtained the only dismissal, have full-scale media attention. Among various high profile cases, Rockind represented Kimberly Mathers, the former wife of rapper/actor, Marshall Mathers, a/k/a Eminem, various other celebrities and was one of the lead attorneys defending famed personal injury attorney Geoffrey Fieger, in an investigation brought by the Michigan Attorney General.  Rockind was named among the Nation’s Top One Percent of Lawyers by the National Association for Distinguished Counsel and won the ACQ Criminal Defense Lawyer of the Year in 2014. 

Recently, Rockind was awarded the prestigious “Leader in the Law” award by the Michigan Lawyer’s Weekly. Rockind is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Michigan, Western District of Michigan and the Northern District of Ohio. He has been admitted pro hoc vice in various state and federal courts across the country. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

For more than 35 years, Sanford M. Stein has served governmental and private sector clients in an array of legislative, regulatory and judicial activities. Combining his skills in business and government-relations law, he has extensive experience in infrastructure development, public finance and public-private partnership economic development. He began his practice with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where he was responsible for numerous enforcement and policy matters. His practice today encompasses a broad array of business regulatory matters in Illinois and across the country. He also is active in international trade matters, particularly in China. His law practice is also highlighted by his work for land developers in Brownfield Redevelopment, annexation, urban development, zoning and land use litigation. He has been successful in complex mixed-use developments and commercial, industrial and residential projects. He also is skilled in municipal tax incentive programs, including tax increment financing, sales tax sharing programs and special service area financing. He is a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and a frequent participant in Chinese/American cultural and business activities. Michael Mc Grory handles aviation cases and business disputes, and is also experienced in insurance-related matters. He has handled all types of aviation-related cases, including airline crashes, general aviation accidents, products liability, regulatory matters, and commercial litigation on behalf of aviation businesses.
