If you live in a state where cannabis is legal for medical use and your condition is not on the list, you can petition the state to add your condition through an application process.
It is important to have substantiating documentation on research and witnesses who are willing to testify before the committee. These forms can be found on all state websites under their medical MJ program and are normally easy to complete. You do not need a lawyer to represent you, but you do have to be diligent in the process. If you have any questions about qualifying conditions or how to petition to add a new one, please contact My Compassion, we are always happy to assist.
Below is a list of which states authorize the medical use for valid, qualified patients. Each entry includes a link to the state’s qualifying conditions. Please note that some states allow physicians to approve other medical conditions not listed on a case-by-case basis, so check with your doctor.
